Welcome! I’m Amanda Hass, a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree, and I have had the privilege of working in the field since 2016. Over the years, I have built my career with diverse experiences in both Ontario and New Brunswick, specializing in a variety of therapeutic approaches and treatment modalities. My work has spanned inpatient mental health care for eating disorders, residential addiction treatment, and private practice settings.
I am an EMDRIA-trained therapist, offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a powerful tool for healing trauma. Additionally, I am skilled in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), both of which I integrate into my work to offer comprehensive care. Mindfulness-based and psychodynamic approaches also play a key role in my practice, ensuring that my clients receive a holistic and individualized approach to their mental health journey.
As a trauma-informed therapist, I place a high priority on creating a safe, supportive environment where clients can explore and heal. My therapeutic style is rooted in being client-centered, which means I collaborate with you to set goals that align with your unique needs and experiences.
While I have the privilege of working with individuals from all walks of life, I specialize in working with veterans. I’ve developed strong working relationships with organizations such as Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) and Partners of Canadian Veterans Rehabilitation Services (PCVRS), which allows me to better support the unique needs of the veteran community.
When I’m not working, I enjoy a fulfilling life as a military spouse and a proud mother of two. Our family includes a dog and two cats, all of whom bring joy and balance to my life. I find peace and inspiration through reading, hiking, and baking—simple pleasures that keep me grounded and connected.
Thank you for visiting my page. I look forward to the possibility of working together and supporting you in your journey toward healing and personal growth.
